Can Jeremy Corbyn win Beard of the Year vote?

The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that with voting underway for the coveted Beard of the Year 2017 title, the big question is whether Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn can win.

Corbyn has won the Parliamentary Beard of the Year seven times, although he was ineligible this year, but the Beard of the Year only once, way back in 2001.

The winner will be announced will be announced on December 29th

The Beard of the Year Award is about people who have consistently had beards over the year and who have promoted a broadly positive image of the hirsute in public life.

BLF Organiser Keith Flett, Jeremy Corbyn may appear on the front cover of the current issue of GQ but winning Beard of the Year is a much bigger image test for the Labour leader.
