London Beard Week poll: are craft beer & beards related?

The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that the first ever London Beard Week which began on 4th August, a celebration of the Capital’s beards, also coincides with CAMRA’s Great British Beer Festival at Olympia and the wider London Beer City events.

The campaigners say that a rise in the interest of craft beer in London, there are now over 100 breweries within the M25, has also led to a massive increase in beard wearing.

As part of London Beard Week the BLF is asking whether there is a distinctive relationship between craft beer, however defined, and beards.

BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, of course there are many female brewers, brewsters and women who enjoy beer but at the same time we are looking at whether the rise in beard wearing in London is related also to the rise of craft beer
