The Ambridge Socialist

26th July

Protesting at the opening of a high end restaurant Duxfords in Borchester on Tuesday evening, Jill Archer was arrested, charged with assault and given a caution.

Jill had thrown a flapjack which had hit one of the restaurant owners and had encouraged other protesters to throw flapjacks

The Ambridge Socialist says that throwing of foodstuffs, such as rotten eggs, or in this case a flapjack, is a traditional form of protest and should not warrant arrest or any form of penalty including a caution.

Ambridge Socialist Editor Keith Flett said, we are calling for the caution to be withdrawn and for advice to be given to PC Harrison Burns about traditional forms of protest, although we really do think Jill should use eggs next time, they make much more mess.
