Ambridge Socialist poll: Does new Rural Affairs Minister Michael Gove listen to the Archers?

With the news that Michael Gove has been appointed Environment Minister (DEFRA including Rural Affairs) the first question is whether he listens to the Archers or not.

Representing the Constituency of Surrey Heath, which in recent years has had little agricultural activity (official Government statistics), it is as yet not confirmed if Mr Gove has gathered a vital understanding of farming and rural life by listening to the Archers.

When still Justice Secretary in May 2016 Gove told the Telegraph that the Archers was ‘required listening’ in his house. However since then some have questioned the relationship between Mr Gove and what most understand to be factual statements of reality
