Time for an Ambridge women’s cricket team?

Ambridge cricket: is it time to ditch the men?

With the cricket season about to start its crunch time for Ambridge cricket.

The men’s team with at best a mixed record in recent seasons, except when now exiled player Rob Titchener cheated his way to victory, now has a chronic shortage of players.

To address this Ambridge team captain Harrison Burns has recruited some women players. Unfortunately he has fallen out with one, the lawyer Usha Franks. After suggesting that she might not be good enough to make the team (and you’d need to be seriously bad not to), a women’s boycott of net practice was organised.

Is it now time for the women of Ambridge to ditch the men and form their own side?
