ENGLAND’S DALY WINS BEARD OF SIX NATIONS POLL IN RIPOSTE TO ‘POGONOPHOBIC’ EDDIE JONES

The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that with what was the most hirsute Six Nations Rugby Championship ever, the Beard of the Six Nations poll has been won by England’s Elliott Daly. Daly bearded Wales’s Jake Ball in a final day vote.

Daly’s win is a riposte to England coach Eddie Jones who reportedly ordered Jonny May to shave off his beard before England’s game against Italy

The campaigners say that the Beard of the Six Nations is not just about beards in the abstract but also about the impact they make on play.

BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, ultimately whether people like Eddie Jones like it or not beard power is a key part of modern rugby and England’s Elliott Daly a worthy winner of the final Beard of the Six Nations poll
