CALL FOR JONATHAN AGNEW TO GROW MOVEMBER MOUSTACHE DIDN’T BRISTLE WITH SUPPORT
The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, which campaigns against irrational prejudice against the hirsute, has said that a petition calling for BBC cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew to grow a Movember moustache did not bristle with support.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett had agreed to shave his moustache and re-grow it as a quid pro quo.
However the campaigners say that it appears that Agnew’s clean shaven visage is preferred to what, if recent examples of celebrities growing moustaches area guide, could have been a rather doubtful appendage.
The BLF has donated to Movember, it does important charitable work, and has urged others to do the same. A link is here:
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said we support diversity in appearance so if the view is ‘no moustache’ that’s perfectly acceptable to us. It doesn’t stop people from supporting the principle of Movember and we’d urge them to do so.
