Bad News for Michael Gove as he faces Beardexit from Beard of Autumn poll
The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that there could be more bad news for Michael Gove after he lost out in his bid to be Tory leader in the summer.
After the defeat Gove grew a consolation beard which he is now thought to have shaved off again. However the quarterly Beard Awards specifically allow for those who have had a beard during the period of the poll
Unfortunately for Gove he currently lies a poor third in the poll behind designer for zeitgeist brewery Beavertown Nick Dwyer and England football manager Gareth Southgate
The Beard of Autumn is the last seasonal Award of the year, with the Beard of the Year voted on in December.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, there is a week to go in the poll yet so Gove could still shave his opponents but he has serious work to do.
The poll is open now and will close at midday on 20th October with the winner announced on Friday 21st October
