They sell Double IPA in Wetherspoons now

The ability of the mainstream to assimilate ‘craft’ beer continues with the appearance in Wetherspoons of a Six Point, Double IPA Resin.

A 355ml can at 9.1 ABV cost Megan Davies and myself (we shared it) £2.99 in a Cardiff Wetherspoons a few days ago.

Spoons have sold Six Point beers in cans for a while and I’ve enjoyed quite a few of their Bengali Tiger IPAs at 6.4%.

The Resin of course is a good bit stronger but I found it dangerously drinkable, The Rate Beer entry is here:

Assuming Spoons keep it in their portofolio and it is actually available in their pubs it is an excellent introduction to the DIPA for those who might well otherwise not come across the genre
