The question of August 2016: after Farage & Gove is facial hair still OK? Vote here

The Beard Liberation Front is to consult widely on the key issue of August 2016: after Nigel Farage grows a moustache and Michael Gove is rumoured to have grown a beard, is it still ok to have facial hair?

The campaigners say that the embracing of facial hair by leading figures of the political right in the UK is a significant development, but as the BLF welcomes diversity in appearance, it is one that does not require a doctrinal revision.

However those that have grown facial hair purely because they believed it to be fashionable may have other views.

BLF Organiser Keith Flett said,  ‘dont expect to see Farage or Gove sporting a Karl Marx or a Leon Trotsky style beard. The left has its own hirsute traditions and the fact that the right is at last also growing facial hair is, in our view, broadly welcome. We do however draw the line at toothbrush moustaches.
