Jeremy Clarkson beats Nigel Farage & Katie Hopkins for Pogonophobe of the Year Award

The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has that former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been named Pogonophobe of the Year as part of National Beard Week.

Other contenders included Katie Hopkins and Nigel Farage.

Clarkson wrote in his Sun column in October 2015 that people with beards should be arrested. Unfortunately he had neglected to recall that he himself had earlier been photographed wearing a beard

BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, if we did psychology we might say that Jeremy Clarkson was a hirsute self-hater. As it is we’ll leave it at naming him Pogonophobe of the Year
