Security and Ambridge
Following the installation of security lights and CCTV at Brookfield the question of exactly how much security is needed for Farm Sunday where members of the public possibly including socialists can access the farm has been causing much angst. The possibility of total lockdown in Ambridge is rather unlikely as David Archer himself has previously paid the Chief Constable of Borsetshire to keep all police officers out of the village.
It still remains a mystery who the person or persons are who may be a security risk to Ambridge. While the possibility that it may be the gang who recently attacked Adam, where David Archer of course saw nothing, has been raised by the BBC the Ambridge Socialist believes that the enemy within may in fact be cast members from Eastenders who feel that Archer needs to be ‘sorted out’.
Ambridge Socialist Editor Keith Flett said, The fact that a version of events in Ambridge is broadcast by the BBC six days a week itself raises security issues. Careless talk can cost lives it is said.
THE LEFT IN AMBRIDGE no.1 Marjorie Antrobus
Majorie Antrobus is sadly no longer with us. She is understood to have joined the Communist Party as a result of her disgust at the activities of British imperialism while she was in Kenya. She left the CP with many others in 1956 in protest at the Russian invasion of Hungary. She retained her socialist principles to the end although this was of course never mentioned in the BBC’s broadcasts from Ambridge, but devoted herself instead to dogs.
