PENGUIN LIBERATION FRONT

Neither Falklands or Malvinas but a Penguin Republic

Communique No.3 11th June 2012: for updates contact Keith Flett on 07803 167266

HANDS OFF PENGUINS!

The Penguin Liberation Front has reacted media claims that penguins are ‘perverts’ by pointing out that while every species has occasional miscreants and oppressive behaviour cannot be tolerated being a penguin involves being mostly normal.

The research carried out a century ago by members of an expedition led by Captain Scott has been lost to history and has only recently resurfaced. It reflects Edwardian attitudes to sexuality. The world, and penguins, has moved on

The Falklands has over 400,000 penguins, as well as albatross, puffins and seals

The PLF says that the treaty whereby the UK remains in possession of the islands makes it clear that the wishes of the population must be taken into account in any decision on the future of the Falklands.

Penguins are easily the majority population of the islands

The PLF says the right of penguins on the islands to self determination must be recognised at last.

Where we stand

We support the right of self determination for penguins

We believe in peaceful co-existence between penguins, albatross and humans

The key product of the Falklands is not oil but guano.

We believe that penguins should receive the full benefits of guano production.

We demand

The Britain and Argentina recognise the Falklands as a Penguin Republic

The all Falkland Island penguins in captivity are returned to the Falkland Islands

That David Cameron sign a concord with an appropriate King Penguin in Guano

That a special commemorative penguin postage stamp is produced

Penguin Liberation Front Convenor Keith Flett said Penguins are not perverts, at least not in a bad way. Penguins are organised and militant
